A study on system provisioning for DPDK software of microservices architecture.

Abstract(in English) While the DPDK technology greatly contributes to speedup of packet processing, there is a problem that the meter of CPU usage rate, which displays remaining capacity of processing in the system and is important in provisioning, can not be used in operation. SPP (Soft Patch Panel) is software that aims micro service architecture and realizes virtual switches of NFVI using DPDK technology. We propose a method that the operator of the system measures the system performance value with the features of SPP and measures the remaining capacity of the system from its performance value and the traffic at the time of operation. In addition, we are investigating the possibility of performance estimation using the performance measurement result by the operator and show the results of our study on multidimensionality of parameters which is a problem in performance estimation.
