Abstract(in English) | Techniques have been developed that allow you to enter characters by looking at among many items displayed on the screen. In such systems, the physical position of the eye-gaze is usually detected by using a camera. In the systems, it is necessary to fix the head position usually and to do calibration frequently for precise eye measurements. In addition, there are problems such as a large variation of data among individuals and within an individual. In this study, we propose a method for eye-gaze input system using the luminance fluctuation of the input target stimulus and data of the pupil variation. Specifically, we examined a method to identify the object that eye-gaze is directed to by the difference in the phases of periodical luminance changes and the timing of pupil light reflex. As a result, we showed that the method can predict the gaze point quite accurately for the sysem to choose one object in 2 and 4 items. In addition, we examined a method to use various phase and frequency of luminance change to choose one object among more than 10 items. |
