Abstract(in English) We propose a nonlinear fiber-based optical frequency shifter using two CW pumps orthogonally polarized to optical signals to be converted to achieve a spectral re-arrangement for broadband WDM signal. This scheme allows reduction of group delay difference between the optical signal and CW pumps as well as reduction of guard band by allocating the optical signal and CW pumps within the same wavelength band. Using 1.6-Tb/s DP-16QAM WDM signal, THz-range frequency shifting without guard-band was successfully demonstrated midway through 160 km transmission with error-free.
