Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Organic semiconductors are being investigated as an emerging class of materials for electronics and spintronics, not only because of their ease of low-temperature processing, but also because of their unique electronic functionalities. Thanks to recent developments in semiconducting processing, synthetic chemistry, and physical understandings in electron transport mechanism, mobility, that is an index of electronic device performance, in organic semiconductors increases remarkably up to 10 cm2V-1s-1. In addition, owing to their light-atom composition, it is expected that robust spin transport can be realized in carbon-based organic semiconductors. In this report, we focus particularly on a single crystal form of organic semiconductors, and argue in-depth understandings on charge and spin relaxation/transport properties.
