[Poster Presentation] Evaluation of transmission behavior in terahertz hollow optical fiber with dielectric coating using time-domain spectroscopy

Abstract(in English) Through forming thin silver film on thin polyethylene tube, which is transparent in terahertz band, by performing sputter film-forming method, we produced terahertz hollow optical fiber with dielectric coating. As a result of Terahertz Time-Domain Spectroscopy(THz-TDS) evaluation for the fiber, it showed low-loss transmission characteristics in 0.6-1.5 THz. In addition, we verified transmission of the HE11 mode in the same frequency range using group velocity calculated from the phase of guided terahertz wave in fiber.
