Abstract(in English) The authors have been developing and evaluating IR-UWB positioning system. A mobile node performs time-of-arrival (TOA) with more than three known anchor nodes to acquire the distances with each of them. The obtained distances are then used for calculating the location of the mobile node. In our examination in an in-operating warehouse, a typical localization error is about 43 cm, which is useful for improving operating efficiency. To further increase the localization precision, we introduce active threshold to increase receiver sensitivity and adaptive time bias to compensate for the inner circuit delay. Effectiveness of them is verified for enhancing localization precision.
