Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The vocalization (click) of sperm whale consists of several pulses, which is produced by multi-reflection in the body of the whale. Therefore, inter-pulse interval (IPI) is related to the body length of the whale. By analysing the archived sound data observed with a single hydrophone of the multidisciplinary deep seafloor cabled observatory offshore of Hatsushima Island in Sagami Bay, the body length of the whale was studied.
