Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Many kinds of hydro acoustic devices are used in the field of ocean development of resources and observations with AUV and ASV. For example, underwater acoustic communication, these devices transmit and receive sound under the sea, so it is important to evaluate characteristics of sound reflection on sea surface. A completely reflection model on sea surface without waves is often used, but amplitude and phase of reflected sound wave fluctuates because of the changing sea surface with waves. In this study, using acoustic simulation with the FDTD method, we evaluated variability characteristics of reflected sound waves on sea surface generated by Bretshneider-Mitsuyasu spectra observed in deep offshore coast of Japan. With increasing frequency, wave height, and shortening of wavelength of the sea surface wave, we confirmed that a probability density function (PDF) of reflected sound amplitude can be expressed by Rice distribution which changes from a Gaussian distribution to a Rayleigh distribution. In addition, a PDF of reflected sound phase changes from a Gaussian distribution to a uniform distribution as the Rayleigh parameter 2k$sigma$_z increases.
