[Invited Talk] Wireless Transmission Technologies for Severe Doubly-Selective Channels

Abstract(in English) This paper discusses wireless transmission technologies for severe time and frequnecy selective channels, i.e., doubly-selective channels. Doubly-selective channels are a serious problem for point to multi-point wireless train radio communications of high-speed railway systems and underwater/land acoustic communications. First, this paper discusses actual parameters on doubly-selective channels for train radio communications and acoustic communications. Next, this paper discusses multi-carrier differential space-time coding and its demodulation schemes based on channel prediction for severe doubly-selective channels. Finally, this paper shows actual underwater/land acoustic field evaluation results of bit error rate (BER) performance measured by an off-line acoustic communication performance evaluation equipment using commercial electronical acoustic devises.
