On continuous univariate multimodal analysis and discrete multimodal analysis(1)

Abstract(in English) The multimodal function (continuous multimodal function) of continuous variables defined by authors focuses on the minimum (local) value set defined by the level set, and have been defined the function as the number of local minimal(maximal) values set is larger than 1. In this report, we discrete the variable (domain) of univariate function, define discrete isolated local minimum(maximum) or local minimal(maximal) values set from relationship between adjacent points, and define a discrete multimodal function as the number of these points:(intervals)} are larger than 1. Next, we show mathematical structures:(unimodal region and unimodal width (depth) around a discrete (isolated) local minimum.
