| Abstract(in English) | Recently integration of satellite into 5G has been studied in ITU-R, 3GPP, and 5GPPP. And in 3GPP standardization process for integration of satellite into 5G has started. This paper presents the advanced satellite-related technologies based on envisaged use cases in 5G. Satellite system has been evolving in satellite technology and applications. This paper introduces the development of advanced technologies for HTS for enhancement of flexibility and various satellite-based applications developed or underdeveloped in Japan which are expected to play an important role in the integrated 5G network. |
