Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper studies an application of the PSO to the dynamic maximum power point tracking (DMPPT) of a photovoltaic array. The cost function depends on insolation and temperature. The insolation is assumed to be time-variant. Most popular hill climbing method and conventional PSOs are hard to solve the DMPPT problem. We presents a new PSO constituting of the main and sub-swarms, constituted by main-swarm and sub-swarm. Basing the algorithm, we have designed a simple PSO based control circuit of switching power converters for the DMPPT.
