Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For conventional Lunar rover, the solar battery module is directedly connected to rover body through wire, and at lunar night, there would be a heat leakage along this wire from rover internal equipment to outside circumstances. In general, because the lunar night lasts for 2 weeks and in this case the solar battery can not work, to maintain the internal equipments within appropriate working temperature range the rover battery system should also output extra energy to compensate the heat leakage. In order to block the heat leakage to reduce the required amount of battery system, a Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) system has been proposed to take place of the conventional wire connection between solar battery and rover body. The proposed method has been verified by experiments, and according to the results the solar battery could be controlled at MPPT mode with the proposed WPT system.
