| Abstract(in English) | Action slip refers unintentional and substitutional error in action sequences. Slip of the pen, the error that mistakenly write words or characters that differ from what are planned to write, is one of the most common action slips. In the present study, we investigated the effect of visual feedback and changes in kinematic aspects of writing movements on experimentally induced slips of the pen. The results of Experiment 1 showed that the pattern of the error in writing was different depending on visual feedback of writing trajectories. In addition, Experiment 2 revealed that the variance of the writing time increased just before slips of the pen occurred. These results suggest that the link between schemas of writing that activates unintended writing schema is related to visual information of characters and other unintentional schemas are triggered when the temporal relationship between motor commands and sensory feedback of intended action collapses. |
