Abstract(in English) | We have developed fabrication process of ferromagnetic nanodot arrays for bit patterned media (BPM) by using lithography techniques and electrodeposition. In our previous work, we achieved to fabricate FePt nanodot array, however their L10 ordering was found to be insufficient. In the present work, we attempted to fabricate FePtCu ternary-alloy by electrodeposition with Cu additives in order to enhance the L10-ordering. As a result, L10-ordering was enhanced by FePtCu alloying, on the other hand, compositional gradient, which suppress L10-ordering, was observed. In order to avoid this, we applied a rotating electrode to achieve uniform film composition by controlling mass transfer process. As a result, L10 ordering was enhanced to obtain higher crystallinity. |
