Abstract(in English) Optimal detection of multiple-input multiple-output~(MIMO) spatial multiplexing systems becomes challenging as the number of antennas increases due to the fact that there is a trade-off relationship between the complexity and the achievable error rate performance. The maximum-likelihood detector(MLD) is known to be optimal with highest complexity, whereas that based on the matched filter(MF) has the lowest complexity but the remaining interference leads to poor error rate performance. Therefore, in this work, we propose a two-stage MIMO detection system that uses MF and MLD after interference cancellation assisted by cyclic redundancy-check (CRC) codes. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed approach may reduce the complexity of MIMO detection without degradation of bit error rate(BER) performance compared to MLD.
