Abstract(in English) In this paper, an exact analysis is presented for bit error probability of Viterbi decoding in sequence dependent channels. In the proposed method, the trellis is expressed by error weight states, and the probability density function (pdf) of path metric is preserved. In a transmit sequence trellis, the pdf of merging path are averaged. By this iteration, the pdf of path metric averaged over all sequences is derived, and an average bit error probability is obtained.
