Abstract(in English) | Crosstalk free polarization splitter (PS) using single polarization nature of elliptical hole core circular hole holey fibers (EC-CHFs) has been proposed. However, in the previous discussion, the uniform directional coupler is assumed and the input/output coupling has not been discussed. In this paper, in order to realize sufficient separation at input/output end between coupled waveguides, tapered structure is discussed. Also, in order to efficiently analyze waveguide whose structure varies in the propagation direction, we examine coordinate transformation finite element beam propagation method(CT-FE-BPM) which can analyzes tapered waveguide as a longitudinally invariant waveguide by utilizing coordinate transformation. |
