Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Various sensors are increasing with spread of applications such as automatic operation. Ultrasonic rangefinders have become widespread as inexpensive devices that measure distance using the difference in transmission / reception time of ultrasonic waves called Time of Flight (ToF) method. In recent years, attacks have been proposed in which distance measurement is made impossible or erroneous to an arbitrary distance by applying unintended ultrasonic waves to the ultrasonic rangefinder. In this paper, we investigated a method to control the amplitude of ultrasonic wave by using PWMmodulation as the input signal for generating ultrasonic wave, and to make the feature difficult to spoof. Experiments have confirmed that the amplitude of the ultrasonic wave can actually be controlled by excitation pulse using PWM modulation.
