Biometric authentication using a part of ECG waveform

Abstract(in English) The Electrocardiogram (ECG) waveform doesn’t change the characteristics even though we get older and there is little fear of its biological information being stolen. In this paper, we used the ECG waveforms of normal sinus rhythm and arrhythmia published on the Internet, and we extracted the data around peaks of R wave to create templates and obtained authentication accuracy. In addition, we studied the template generation methods using the ECG waveform data measured by wearable sensor. As a result, it was revealed that the authentication can be performed using only the data around peaks of R wave.
