Abstract(in English) | Revocable hierarchical identity-based encryption (RHIBE) is an extension of IBE with a key revocation mechanism and a key delegation functionality. The additional properties resolve practical issue of IBE to manage a large number of users dynamically and efficiently. Unfortunately, existing pairing-based RHIBE schemes have two main drawbacks, i.e., the schemes are secure only in the {em selective}-identity model based on {em $q$-type assumptions}. The drawbacks are equivalent to the hardness to prove the security through dual system encryption methodology. In this paper, we propose the first desirable scheme by modifying Chen-Wee's HIBE scheme. The scheme is adaptively secure under the standard $d$-linear assumption in prime-order bilinear groups. During the security proof, we carefully design hybrid games to apply the dual system encryption methodology. |
