Measurement-based RTT Distribution Modeling in LTE networks

Abstract(in English) We focus on round-trip-time (RTT) as a light load measurement of network performance and model RTT distributions. Based on actual measurements in a LTE network at a congested/uncongested location, we model a low delay area of RTT distribution by a truncated normal distribution by using a characteristic that RTTs in low delay area follow a normal distribution. Also, we describe a calculation method of parameters of RTT distribution model by a Q-Q plot. We show the parameter indicates the network performance by comparing with throughput and by calculating the parameters for the actual data set measured at congested and uncongested places.
