Low-Pass Filter with multiple attenuation poles using Stub loaded type Dumb-Bell-Shaped Defected Ground Structure

Abstract(in English) In this study, we focus on the structure of Defected Ground Structure (DGS) whose copper foil on backsideis patterned.Low-Pass Filter (LPF) with elliptic function characteristics is configured and fabricated using DGS. Themodeling of DGS and the dependence on the design parameters for LPF are explained utilizing the similarity betweenLC parallel resonator of series part in LPF equivalent circuit and the equivalent circuit of DGS.Stub loaded DGS is pro-posed since the capacitance of Dumb-Bell-Shaped DGS (DB-DGS) is not enough to configure the LPF.Finally,the LPFwith elliptic function characteristics is configured and fabricated using proposed Stub loaded DGS and DB-DGS.Themeasured results are almost satisfied with the design specification.
