Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, Wi-Fi access points have been installed in public places, with increasing demand for Internet access by mobile terminals. In many cases, they require users’ personal information in preparation for abuse. However, it is feared that malicious access points can steal the information. We propose a new authentication method for public Wi-Fi. Users can be authorized without passing their confidential information to access points. Moreover, users’ access history is traceable, and it would be applied to chasing abuser and making a statistical survey. Taking users’ privacy into consideration, users can renew their addresses dynamically. Therefore, the trace can only be performed anonymously and partially. Users’ identity are normally concealed but in an emergency or in criminal investigation, it has the feature that the complete tracking with real name is available by the cooperation betweentwo independent management organizations.
