Abstract(in English) | Assuming a situation where communication infrastructure such as existing mobile networks could not be used due to disruption or congestion by a large-scale disaster, a new medical transportation resource information sharing system among hospitals with a self-employed network using LPWA (LoRa) was developed, which is required for a regional or wide area medical evacuations. More specifically, we have developed a TDMA based radio access control protocol to transmit car position and status information from a moving ambulance by a LoRa radio with avoiding internal collisions in the system. We have also developed a flooding protocol to share the latest information among hospitals. Android applications to display the obtained ambulance location information on a map or changing ambulance status information were also developed, and practicality confirmed the application’s behavior and effectiveness. As a result, the bidirectional communication between vehicles and hospitals could be carried out even in an urban area where was completely outside of line of sight due to tall buildings. It was also confirmed that it is possible to use LoRa for this application. |
