Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For ID/Locator separation networks, a dynamical control of maximum transmission rate has been proposed for promoting autonomous user mobility. In this method, the maximum transmission rate decreases as the utilization time of corresponding communication session increases and the maximum transmission rate increases when the corresponding locator changes. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of the dynamical control of maximum transmission rate with analysis and simulation. In numerical examples, we find that the total amount of transmission bandwidth can be decreased at each access point by using the dynamical control of maximum transmission rate. Moreover, the effectiveness of this method can be adjusted by changing some setting parameters. We also find that this method can help in avoiding any congestion in access points of popular locations, thus improving the overall network performance and user experience.
