Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Japan Patent Office made a survey of technical trends in the field of Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) techniques in terms of patent applications. In this survey, we analyzed about 21,600 domestic and international patent documents and about 9,600 contributions (3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)). We classified these documents on the basis of technical contents from various perspectives. In this paper, we present technical trends of research and development on MIMO techniques based on the survey results.
