A Study on the Efficient Transmission Mode Selection Technique for Data Transmission in Unmanned Aircraft System

Abstract(in English) Recently, Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) have been used by various fields(e.g. delivery of products, infrastructure inspection and post-disaster damage assessment).Also, real-time video transmission using Unmanned Aircraft(UA) has attracted attention because of the need to send video data.However it is difficult to maintain communication quality due to changes in transmission environment.Therefore, we need a transmission system and resource allocation capable of dealing with changes in the transmission environment to implement radio transmission of large capacity data using UAS. In this paper, we work with the scenario of radio transmission of large capacity data using UAS. We propose a transmission mode selecting method based on environment diversity transmission. Our proposal can work both with Direct transmission mode and Relay and combining transmission mode.Finally, we evaluate the proposed method in both stationary and mobile environments while taking into account the decay caused by attenuation created by obstacles.
