Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the level crossing where both the number of trains and the road traffic volume are large, traffic congestion becomes a problem. In the past, there were several methods to shorten the warning time of the level crossing by train speed control in order to alleviate the traffic congestion. However, there were no methods for controlling multiple level crossings and multiple trains. In this research, we propose a method to adjust the warning time of the level crossing by train speed control, aiming at the control of the multiple level crossings and the multiple trains. By this method, traffic congestion at the level crossings will be alleviated.
