Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a novel multi-layer microstrip antenna integrated with a quadrature hybrid suitable for wireless power transmission applications. Use of the quadrature hybrid enables the antenna to receive any type of linearly and circularly polarized waves. The antenna consists of two orthogonally fed square patches and a feed network coupled with a quadrature hybrid. The feed network combining with microstrip lines and slot lines is designed using both-sided MIC technology. The quadrature hybrid is placed just below the patches by employing a multi-layer structure to make a compact rectenna. Two diodes are integrated across two ports of the quadrature hybrid for RF-to-DC conversion. Therefore, it is possible to convert the received RF signals of any polarization sense to DC by using either ports.
