Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is true that we human know the concepts of time and space, but we cannot perceive nor recognize the existence of time and space. In this paper, the rationale behind its cognitive discrepancy, an explanation of how we recognize time and space, and its perception mechanism are described. The mechanism proposed in the paper is based on the hypothesis that the time course can be viewed as being essentially equal to movement. Thus, the perception of movement is created from changes in the state of things. There are basically two ways to perceive the state change of things. One is the change caused by movement of a thing. The other is the change in the quality of the substance of a thing. This paper will explain the mechanism of how and at what point the basic difference between two changes found in expressions of language.
