Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Human balancing motions, such as during quiet standing, stick balancing on the fingertip, and so on, generally exhibit random fluctuations. Such human fluctuations sometimes lead to unexpected accident due to their heavy-tailed distributions in which large amplitude fluctuations may occur more frequently than normal distributions. In our previous study, we were involved in construction of a nonlinear stochastic model that can accurately simulate experimentally obtained human fluctuations representing heavy-tailed distributions. However, stochastic analysis on our obtained model is still difficult unless explicit analytical expression of the heavy-tailed distributions are known. In this study, we develop a mathematical expression of our obtained distributions by using a mixture of normal distribution and Laplace distribution, showing that our mixture distribution accurately represents the experimental distribution during human balancing motions.
