Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a novel system called InFloasion, which displays images inside transparent objects of various shapes. In contrast to previous work which forms images in the air, it is necessary to take account of the light refraction on a transparent object. Our system consists of an Aerial Imaging Plate~(AIP), an additional transparent object on a light source, and a plane mirror in order to satisfy the plane symmetry of the optical path. Experimental results show that our system can form an image inside a transparent object without distortion or misalignment.
