A Study on the Relationship Between Chaos Degree and Kolmogorov-Sinai Entropy

Abstract(in English) Chaos Degree is proposed as a method to measure the chaotic property included in the data. CD is directly calculated from the data even if the dynamical system, which generates the data, is unknown. Therefore, for real time data analysis, CD is more useful than the estimation of Lyapunov Exponent or KS Entropy. Authors showed the mathematical relations between CD and Lyapunov Exponent in our previous studies. This paper shows the case that CD equals to KS Entropy on the one-dimensional chaotic map. And discloses the difference of them.
