Abstract(in English) | This paper studies an interleave division multiple access (IDMA)-based random access in order to support massive machine-type communications (mMTC) in the fifth generation mobile communication system, and investigates a suitable frequency block configuration. In IDMA-based random access, providing multiple frequency blocks can reduce the number of transmission packets per frequency block, while the interference cancellation capability deteriorates because it is necessary to increase the error correction coding rate as the transmission bandwidth per packet becomes smaller. The probability distribution of the number of simultaneous transmission packets including retransmission packets also changes depending on whether or not frequency blocks are provided. We derive guidelines for appropriate frequency block construction method in the random access based on IDMA from the viewpoint of the achievable packet error rate by computer simulation taking into account the impact of the packet retransmission. |
