Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A massive MIMO system, which uses about 100 or more antennas for transmitting and receiving, enables high-speed and large-capacity communication. However, the computational complexity increases in proportion to the cube of the number of elements when general signal demultiplexing methods are used. Thus, it becomes difficult to implement a large scale MIMO system. To overcome this problem, GaBP having the second order complexity has been studied. Although GaBP provides a reasonably good performance for 16QAM detection, it is mentioned that both a complexity increase and performance degradation are seen for higher-level modulation. In this paper, we evaluate the detection performance for superposed 16QAM signals that can simplify GaBP based detection. The simulation results have shown that a better performance is obtained in the superposed coded 16QAM case in comparison to the case of Gray-mapped uniform 16QAM.
