Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Running is a popular sports regardless of age and sex. Regular running habit, however, is known to become one of the factors of running injuries. In order to prevent them, the midsole part of running shoes has functions such as shock-absorbing and the stability. In this study, we investigated how the stiffness and arrangement of a gel material in the midsole part of shoes as well as running speed affect sole deformation, plantar pressure, shoes orientation and knee joint angle. Empirical results verified that the stiffness and arrangement of a gel material affected solely sole deformation, while running speed affected both sole deformation and plantar pressure. Thus, the change of empirical conditions has little influence on shoes orientation and knee joint angle. |
