Abstract(in English) | This paper discusses differential orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) in severe time and frequency selective channels, i.e., doubly-selective channels. On severe doubly-selective channels, coherent detection of OFDM has a problem that the frequency transmission efficiency decreases due to pilot insertion. In order to solve this problem, this paper evaluates performance of differential encoding and Reed-Solomon (RS) codes for differential OFDM in time and frequency domain. Finally, computer simulation results confirm that differential OFDM is effective in the case of differential encoding in time domain and RS codes in frequency domain on doubly-selective channels. |
