Abstract(in English) This paper discusses multi-carrier modulation scheme with channel prediction for underwater acoustic communications (UWAC). UWAC suffer from severe time and frequency selective channels, i.e., doubly-selective channels. For doubly-selective channels, this paper investigates multiple single carrier (MSC) modulation scheme employing Reed-Solomon (RS) codes of error correction and decision-feedback multiple differential detection (DFMDD) with channel prediction, which is extended version of differential detection (DD). MSC modulation scheme parallely transmits multiple narrow-band single carrier signals. DFMDD with 1st order channel prediction can reduce computational complexity, keeping good tracking capability for first time-varying fading. Finally, computer simulation results confirm that differential MSC modulation with RS symbols in frequency domain and DFMDD employing channel prediction have good performance on doubly-selective channels.
