Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper discusses a 64kbps differential multi-carrier modulation scheme for underwater acoustic communications (UWAC) and multiple differential detection employing per-survivor processing (PSP-MDD). For 64kbps -UWAC, there exist the following two issues: 1) to improve transmission efficiency; 2) to improve performance on sever time and frequency selective channels, i.e., doubly-selective channels. In order to solve these issues, this paper proposes a wireless communication scheme, which employs 16PSK for the item 1). With respect to the item 2), this paper employs differential encoding / PSP-MDD with channel prediction and multiple single carrier modulation scheme for time selective channels and frequency selective channels, respectively. Multiple single carrier modulation scheme parallely transmits information using narrowband single carriers. Next, this paper investigates parameters that realize 64kbps-UWAC. Finally, computer simulation results confirm that the proposed scheme has excellent block error rate (BLER) performance on sever time selective channels in UWAC.
