Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | In this report we study how to represent an exact polynomial function by neural networks (NN) with rectified linear units (ReLU). We focus on a three-layer neural network that has two input nodes, four hidden processing nodes, and a single output node for a polynomial function : $alpha_0 + alpha_1 x_1 + alpha_2 x_2 + alpha_3 x_1 x_2$. We give a method to obtain the hyperparameters of the three-layer ReLU NN representing $alpha_0 + alpha_1 x_1 + alpha_2 x_2 + alpha_3 x_1 x_2$. |
