抄録(和)	学術的な分野でのAI（人工知能）技術の飛躍的な発展が産業界にも大きなインパクトを与えつつある。特に機械学習や深層学習と呼ばれる技術の産業応用が今後期待されている。同時にそれらの技術を既存の知的財産という枠組みの中で扱う際にこれまで想定し得なかった取り扱いが必要とされることがある。一連の機械学習/深層学習においてもデータそのもの、学習用データセット、学習プロセス、学習済みモデル、利用プロセスなどが創出され、各々を知的財産として取扱うことができるのか否かを含め検討が必要となってくる。本発表ではこれらを知的財産の枠組みで取扱う際の注意点を紹介するとともに学習用データセットや学習済みモデルの再利用における知的財産としての保護など昨今話題に上がることの多いトピックについても紹介する。またそのようなAI技術を扱う我が社における大企業や中小企業とも異なるスタートアップ企業ならではの知財戦略についても紹介する。
抄録(英)	The dramatic technological advances in the academic field of artificial intelligence is having a big impact on the industrial world and the business community is pinning its hopes on applying the AI technologies, especially those called machine learning and deep learning, to business. When treating these technologies within the existing framework of intellectual property, you are required to handle some unexpected cases. For one, you need to consider whether it is possible to treat each creation in the machine learning/deep learning process as an intellectual property such as the data itself, training dataset, trained model, and utilization process. This presentation will focus on some of the important points to consider for IP professionals when dealing with these technologies as well as some of the much-talked-about topics with regards to the IP protection in the reuse of training datasets and trained models. As a start-up specializing in AI, Preferred Networks has a different IP strategy from those of large companies or SMEs, which I will also introduce in this presentation.
