[Technology Exhibit] Batteryless Wireless Sensor Networks based on Energy-Neutral Receiver-Initiated (ENRI) MAC Protocol

Abstract(in English) We have proposed energy-neutral receiver-initiated medium access control (ENRI MAC) protocol which is suitable for energy harvesting power supply. Each sensor node dynamically controls its own intermittent-interval based on the instantaneous output power of energy harvester. We demonstrate multi-hop communications using off-the-shelf micro computer Lazurite 920J manufactured by LAPIS Semiconductor Co., Ltd and show the feasibility of wireless sensor networks without pre-charged batteries.
