Abstract(in English) | This paper proposes a mapping scheme between users on camera images and mobile stations (MSs). Mapping schemes based on human mobility have been proposed, which match the velocity and direction of a human obtained from images, and the velocity and direction estimated from acceleration data obtained by MSs. However, when the humans walk slowly, the accuracy of velocity estimation decreases and the mapping accuracy also decreases. This paper proposes a mapping scheme based on user’s hand motion estimated from camera images and acceleration sensor data, which enables user-MS mapping regardless of walking speed of users. The scheme leverages a hand motion of raising and lowering for watching the device display. The motion can be estimated from the change of velocity and acceleration of a hand or an MS. The correlation coefficients between the time series data of the vertical hand motion estimated from camera images and acceleration sensor data map the user to MSs. We implemented the proposed scheme on a testbed consisting of Kinect camera system and Raspberry Pi mobile station and showed proof of concept experiments. |
