Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently we developed the oculo-feedback system that analyzes eye movements in realtime to extract some features and feeds-back the extracted information to the subject so that the subject can control his/her internal state such as attention. To manipulate one's spatial attention, we refer to characteristics of microsaccade which is an involuntary and rapid eye movement demonstrated to reflect attentional state in humans. To use microsaccades as a feature of eye movement reflecting attentional state it is required to identify the relationship between microsaccade generation property and attentional state. Currently, we propose a novel approach to identify the relationship and evaluate its usefulness in the oculo-feedback to modify spatial attentional state in human subjects.
