Abstract(in English) The Half-mode-SIW has the advantage that the occupied area of the surface conductor or circuit can be halved. In this study, the discontinuity characteristics of Half-mode SIW are analyzed and compared it with equivalent waveguide discontinuity. First, the dimension of the waveguide equivalent characteristics with the Half-Mode SIW is determined, and the reflection characteristics inductive discontinuities. Then, the dimensions of the half-mode SIW are calculated so that the reflection characteristics of both the half-mode SIW and the SIW are approximately equal.
