A Study on Indoor Localization Using Radio and Camera Cooperation

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we consider a novel localization system using both wireless signal processing technique and image processing technique. The proposed localization system uses multiple radio terminals and a camera to estimate the position of a target device. We estimate the target position by camera-based localization when the device exists in the LOS (line-of-sight) area of the camera. During which wireless parameters are learned. If the target goes out of the camera coverage, the radio-based localization is executed using the learned parameters. We show results of computer simulations and experiments.
