Study on individual authentication using intra-palm propagation signals

Abstract(in English) We are studying on personal authentication using intra-palm propagation signals assuming continuous authentication of users while using a system. Two pairs electrode for a transmitter and a receiver are provided on the palm , and current is passed between the electrodes on the transmitter side. A leakage electric field is generated around the current flowing. This leaked electric field propagates through the palm and is detected as a voltage on the receiver side. This is called the intra-palm propagation signal. In this paper, we show the verification results by fusing the amplitude and phase spectra obtained from the intra-palm propagation signal. Score level fusion that fuse the scores output from each discriminator and result level fusion that fuse verification results from each are discriminator introduced and evaluated.
