Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We investigate the electromagnetic transmission and reflection characteristics of a flanged rectangular waveguide in the case where the mediums inside and outside of the waveguide are different (when the permittivity and/or the permeability are different) by using the exact solution derived by the method of the Kobayashi potential (KP method). In particular, considering only the TE$_{10}$ mode incidence, we calculate the total radiated power normalized by the power of the incident TE$_{10}$ mode wave and the amplitude of the reflected TE$_{10}$ mode wave at the open end for various medium parameters, and we discuss the convergent property of the KP solution.
