Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | In the research of polarization MIMO antennas, various studies have been carried out in the assumption that there is no correlation between vertically(V) and horizontally(H) polarized waves. However, when a communication terminal is operated in a stationary state for a time period in the wireless LAN service environments, it can be considered that there is some correlation between V and H polarized component of a path arriving at the terminal, because both polarized components have a fading due to path shadowing by human body at the same time. This study proposes a correlated path shadowing model based on the 5GHz band experimental data measured by a RUSK channel sounder in an indoor environment in which some pedestrians move. In this model, XPR, correlation, instantaneous level variations and so on for V and H polarized components are processed statistically in every time period of both non-shadowing or shadowing intervals, and their statistic parameters have been clarified. Based on the proposed model, the path shadowing data are generated for each obstacle or non-obstacle conditions in an indoor environment, and their data are applied on the path data calculated by the ray-tracing method. These path data are received in a micro-strip patch antenna(MSA) as a kind of polarization MIMO antennas. This study shows the correlation characteristics between 2 isolated branches of MSA in which correlated polarization waves are received is investigated by computer simulations as a function of the inclination angle of MSA. |
